Sunshines, Busy Bees and Caterpillars
Babies & Toddlers
Our young babies are taken care of in our specially designed baby room named our Sunshine Room.
When your child is ready, usually after 12 months or so they will then move on to our Busy Bees area.
By the age of 2 years your child will be ready to join our older toddlers in our Caterpillar Room
At Ballybay Community Crèche we believe that all children are individuals and their needs should be respected and responded to.
We offer stimulating activities for your child’s age group to help them develop physical, intellectual, language, emotional, social skills and spiritual needs..
We invite all parents and their child to visit the crèche to meet staff and children. During this visit we will discuss with the parents the settling in period (see general information for our settling in procedure) which meets the child’s individual needs.
All meals and snacks are healthy and nutritious in accordance to our healthy eating policy. Daily menus are displayed on the board outside the kitchen.
Parents of children using formula are asked to bring in bottles already made up in a cool bag. The bottles should be labelled with the child’s name. We welcome breast feeding mothers and will accommodate their needs as much as possible.
HSE regulations are adhered to in regards to staff/child ratios.
3-12 months - 1:3 each member of staff caring for this age group will have a maximum of 3 babies.
